The Royal Institutions

The Council of Royal Princes
The Council of Princes is the highest collegial decision-making body of the Royal House of Parma. It comprises all the descendants of the last reining Duke, Robert of Parma, for which they all hold the title of Princes of Parma. It addresses matters affecting the entire Royal Family. It was last convened by Duke Xavier in 1960.
HRH's Privy Council
Prince Carlos has an advisory council with expertise in various fields (legal, economic, historical, sociological, heraldic, diplomatic, protocol), with a particular emphasis on the scientific field for a better world.
The Royal Archive
Radboud University in Nijmegen houses the Archives of the Royal House of Bourbon-Parma and those inherited by Prince Xavier from the senior branch of the Spanish legitimist claimants. The vast collection of documents of all kinds is being catalogued by an interdisciplinary team to make it accessible to researchers. The university also publishes the journal Studia Borbonica.
The Royal Foundations
The Royal House has three foundations, established in Parma, Trieste and Viareggio, to preserve the memory of the Royal Family. There are also special links with the Abbey of Solesmes and the Abbey of Poblet, as well as with the Redemptorist Convent in Pucheim.

The Royal Orders
Crown Prince Carlos is also the Grand Master of the Sacred Angelic Imperial Constantinian Order of Saint George, the Order of Merit under the Title of Saint Louis, the Order of the Proscribed Legitimacy and the Order of Saint George for Military Merit, rarely conferred.
The Borbonia Colloquia
Through the Borbonia Colloquia the Royal House tries to mobilize the various social actors to reflect on the problems of the international agenda and thus contribute to solving the problems of our world.
The National Associations
The existing ties between the Royal Family and their former states have led to the emergence of associations in those countries that bring together their dynastic citizens. Such is the case of the Associazione Cavalieri Ordini Dinastici della Reale e Ducale Casa di Borbone Parma and the Asociación 16 de Abril in Spain.
The Yearly Event
Every year, they hold a meeting in Parma and in Piacenza with authorities, members of society, and prominent figures from the social and cultural life of their former states. They frequently travel to Spain, Italy, Belgium, France, and Austria.
